The SR9 Trio performance offers an imaginative and impressive revisit of great composers like Bach, Mendelssohn, Stravinsky and many others, their instruments being three marimbas (African xylophones with resonators). This trio collaborates with artists from all walks of life and explores other artistic fields such as dance and theatre, developing interdisciplinary creations.
Their last album “So, we dance?”, recorded at the Ferme de Villefavard, was released in March 2018.
Bach is celebrated this year with an arrangement for marimbas, followed by C O R P O R E L S, a performance in which percussion – using their own bodies, dance, theatre and music are combined.

Le Trio SR9, c’est une revisite imaginative et bluffante de grands compositeurs comme Bach, Mendelssohn, Stravinsky et bien d’autres, à trois marimbas (xylophones africains à résonateurs). Le trio collabore avec des artistes de tous horizons et explore d’autres champs artistiques tels que la danse et le théâtre, qu’il croise au travers de créations interdisciplinaires.
Leur dernier album Alors, on danse ?, enregistré à la Ferme de Villefavard, est paru en mars 2018.
Bach est à l’honneur cette année avec une transcription suivie de C O R P O R E L S, une performance réunissant différentes écritures contemporaines autour du mouvement.
